Mercers’ Arts Award
The Mercers’ Company is among the oldest of London’s famous ‘livery companies’ and has a history dating back some 700 years. Philanthropy is at the core of the Company’s work, including the support of vulnerable communities, young people and education. Over the previous five years, The Mercers’ Company have provided Mercers’ Arts Awards to graduating MA Fine Art and Visual Arts students at different colleges across UAL, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank the Company for its wonderful generosity and investment in our graduates.
This year, the Company are awarding two students from Camberwell with Mercers’ Arts Awards of £5,000 each, to help them find their feet as professional artists, including covering studio and materials costs over the next year.
